Best’s Bootcamp the newest indoor bootcamp studio in central London (Closet stations; Charing Cross or Embankment). I always love trying out new workouts and when I heard about them I quickly booked myself on to a class.
Best’s workout is a combination of weight training and treadmill sprints, which I was excited to try.
When I arrived in morning for the 8am class I was delighted to be greeted by friendly staff at the desk who checked me in and gave me instructions as well as handing me a towel.
I headed downstairs to the changing rooms, Wow! It was fully stocked with all you need to freshen up after a workout (or before in my case as I’d forgotten to pack hairbands) including beauty and skincare products, GHD’s and an amazing cool down cubicle.
Each class is 50mins long; there are a choice of Pull & Abs, Push & Abs & Full Body & Abs. As like other bootcamp studios, there is an option to start your workout on the floor or the treadmill when you book.
I attended the Pull & Abs class today led by Lee Drabble which consisted of alternating from treadmill to floor (weight training using bespoke soft training box, weights & kettlebells) aimed to target the hamstrings, back, biceps and abs.
I was really impressed with the state of the art facilities in the studio; the treadmills were awesome as well as manually controlling the inclines and speed settings. There were also set inclines (left) and speed (right) controls, which made sprints & incline intervals so much easier to manage. I hadn’t seen declines on a treadmill before Best’s, it was definitely a first for me running downhill and it was amazing.
The strength part of the workout consisted of weights, kettlebells and core drills on the box.
The best part of the workout was having instructors cam around the studio, often we go to classes (especially when it’s a full-house) and cannot see or hear the what the trainer is demonstrating. If we are not near a station where the instructor is, you will still be able to see them on the big screen. This is so important for form and consistency.
Barry’s, Project Fit, Rebel Reshape and now Best’s all have your uniquely about them in terms of the workout structure, trainers and the studio atmosphere.
I will definitely be back for another class, it was such a great workout. The treadmills and trainers cam absolutely amazing.
Try it out for yourself and be prepared to work hard. Complimentary first class until the end of the month Best’s Bootcamp
